We recently took a look at the Fellowes 2127S Strip-Cut Shredder. Overall the machine is quite nice but I'll let you be the judge after you see the pros and cons below. Always remember that the stated specs of a machine do not always translate precisely to a real-world environment.
Security
This is the second lowest level of security available rated at a 2. This 2127S Strip-Cut Shredder is a tad better than a level 1 machine but not a whole lot. If you are really concerned about the information on your documents then we highly recommend that you start looking at some of the cross-cut machines. The one benefit of the strip-cut machine is that you can shred faster and more pages per pass. Just make sure that you are choosing the right security level for your needs.

Although the size may make it difficult to fit this shredder in a tight space, it's always worth it in the long run to get a bigger bin size and move your office around a bit.

We love the 10.25 inch throat on this shredder because you can put in odd sized paper and it leaves plenty of breathing room when it comes to regular sized paper. Some of the smaller machines will crumple the paper and eventually jam because the throat opening is just not large enough.

The Fellowes 2127S Strip-Cut Shredder comes with a 2 years on machine, 30 years on cutter. This means that you have plenty of time to test out the machine and make sure that everything is running smoothly. Just make sure to properly care for your machine and you shouldn't have any issues.
