HO CHI MINH CITY， March 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will invest some 533 million U.S. dollars in developing a 20-hectare natural history museum and a botanical garden in Ho Chi Minh City， which will exhibit over 20，000 species of flora and fauna.
The museum-garden complex in District 9， whose construction will start next year， will also include a research center and a gene resources-preserving facility， the Science Technology and Production Corporation in charge of the project's development said Wednesday.
Some 200 Vietnamese and foreign scientists will participate in the project， which has already received technical assistance from the U.S. Smithsonian Institute.
